Swimming pool hollaback

Two days ago I was getting out of my local pool and walked past the kiddie area on the way back to the changing rooms when a quite young boy, with a group of other young men and women in their late teens, shouted "ha, BBW". Unfortunately I've been in contact with porn, so turned and decided to challenge him - mainly because there were women in the group.

I walked over, and he tried to swim away (really the most pathetic part of the whole thing, since it was a baby training pool). I asked him what he said. He said, nothing. I said, I understood what he said, and that BBW stands for "big breasted woman". I asked him whether he thought it was acceptable to comment on other people's bodies by shouting at them. He was silent, and his mates had started giggling. I asked whether he would like his mother or sisters to be shouted at in the same way, or whether he would like his body to be commented on in public. He said, no, miss. I asked him how he felt. He said sorry, so I went to get a shower.

This was my first proper verbal (I have fought off attackers) challenge to someone who has attempted to sexually intimidate or embarass me.

I feel good!
